Elastomeric deck systems require periodic maintenance in order to substantially increase their lifespan. In theory a well maintained elastomeric deck system can last indefinitely. The color coat renewal process protects existing elastomeric systems from harmful UV sun damage that can cause unnecessary premature aging and failure. It also provides a natural wearing surface that further protects the valuable elastomeric base membrane.
The renewal process is fairly straightforward. First we pressure wash. Once dry we apply a superior bonding primer followed by a fresh coat of Polyurethane Aliphatic Color Coat with fine traction texture. We recommend you have this done every three to five years depending on your decks exposure to the sun.
Once the deck is properly washed, dried, and any minor surface repairs taken care, the elastomeric color coat renewal application is usually completed within one day. Contact us for a free cost estimate.
